About The Coach

Pam Evans worked in medical research for more than 25 years focusing largely on cancer therapies and adjuncts to cancer therapy.

She has a PhD in Medicine from the research work she did in her early career when she proved the link between folic acid deficiency and neural tube defects* (This discovery virtually eradicated spina bifida and has compelled women everywhere to take folic acid supplements before and during pregnancy).

While employed in the pharmaceutical industry Pam also trained as a career coach and has since expanded this knowledge and experience into the area of coaching those with life threatening illnesses.

In 2001 Pam retired from medical research and retrained as a holistic therapist to enable her to give something back by working in the voluntary care sector. For the past 5 years she has worked as a complementary therapist for Macmillan Cancer Support.

She herself was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and has fully recovered following a mastectomy.
