			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Myself and two other friends, Nick Hull-Malham and Polly Noble, who have all experienced cancer first hand have written a book about our cancer journey experiences and we are now in the process of getting it published. <p><strong>The Cancer Journey</strong><strong> : Help Yourself to Our Experience!</strong></p>
<p><strong>WHAT -  </strong>This book is not just another book about how to deal with cancer – this book is written by 3 people who have all had different types of cancer and while we have all taken different approaches, the book combines the tools and information we have learned which have been useful on our Cancer Journeys.  </p>
<p><strong>WHY -</strong> We know first-hand that a diagnosis of cancer has a profound impact on psychological wellbeing as well as our health and we share the things we wish we’d known early on and the information which has enabled us to help ourselves through our experiences.  By sharing this we wish to empower others affected by cancer to commit to helping themselves to live their lives more fully.</p>
<p><strong>HOW -</strong> This book provides the reader with lots of relevant practical advice, tips and resources from the things their doctors don’t or won’t tell them to coping with mental and emotional stress.  It’s full of useful information such as what they need for their chemotherapy session, what foods will make them feel better while undergoing treatment, how to adapt their lifestyle now that they are cancer survivors and very importantly, how to deal with constipation and embarrassing side-effects!! It guides the reader through the overwhelming rollercoaster ride of emotions from coming to terms with their own reactions and feelings to how to tell their loved ones of their diagnosis and how best to deal with their responses. And throughout this journey it gives the reader the very genuine empathy and insight that only people that have had cancer can give and the very strong and supportive message that they are not alone.</p>
<p><strong>Tone –</strong> Empowering, informative, useful and light-hearted in parts. We want this book to be a motivational and powerful guide that people with cancer can turn to. It is also framed in a way that will make it equally useful to the loved ones of those with cancer to be able to help them understand what their loved one is feeling. The language used is simple and conversational using words and phrases that every person will understand. We want the reader to feel comforted on reading it and return to it time and time again.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When we are awake and worrying we are syphoning vital energy away from healing and recovery. This makes us vulnerable to tiredness which in turn leads to increased stress and a feeling of having less control over our lives.</p>
<p>When we get adequate sleep and rest we increase our ability to cope with short and long term stressful situations and generally improve both physical and mental energy levels and well-being.<a href="http://www.willtolivecoaching.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Dandelion-on-black1.jpg"><img class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-87" title="Dandelion on black" src="http://www.willtolivecoaching.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Dandelion-on-black1-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="146" height="121" /></a></p>
<p>Those affected by life threatening illnesses often report trouble sleeping and feelings of anxiety particularly at night as they experience ruminative thoughts about their health and the impact it has on their lives and those of their families and loved ones.  While there is much advice on ways to enhance sleep such as physical exercises, diet, practising relaxation techniques, most of these require effort which is often just not available.</p>
